Lessman Family Wedding

Jason's cousin, Shondel, got married a few weeks ago in Fort Morgan, CO - and we had such a great time, especially seeing all of the family!! This was Jake's second wedding ever, but the first since he was only 6 months old... Jake did great and Shondel was a beautiful bride! Here are some pictures from the wedding:

Before the wedding we stopped in Brush, CO to see Jason's grandma Ardenia and grandpa Ray. Jake loved showing off his "page turning" abilities. :)

Kelly's Colorado 30th Birthday Celebration!

Jason and our good friend Taryn were very nice and planned a 30th Birthday celebration for me the week after my birthday. They knew that I didn't want a surprise party so I got to be part of the planning, but they did really surprise me by having our other really good friends, Jace & Doug, fly in all the way from Arkansas for the party!!

We had such a great time and I really appreciate everyone that made it to help me celebrae, and thank you to Jason & Taryn who planned a wonderful party that I won't ever forget!!

Here are some pictures of the fun night:

Jace & Doug Toben who flew in for the party!

Good friends Nate & Julie, their first night out on the town after having little baby Tobyn!

Trip to Portland & Sunriver, OR

It's been almost three years since we've been able to get together with my sister's family and my Mom & Steve in Oregon, but we finally were able to and had a great time celebrating the 4th of July and my 30th Birthday all together! Jake and I were out there for about 10 days, and then Jason was out for almost a week! We were very excited to finally get to see the new house that my Mom and Steve spent a few years building, it was absolutely beautiful and we loved that the new house was big enough for us all to stay there!

During our trip we were also lucky enough to spend about a week of our trip in Sunriver, OR - a beautiful resort in Central Oregon, near Mt. Bachelor. It's a beautiful place, with so much to do, and we were lucky enough to have really nice weather!

We had such a great time all together, and just wish we could do it more often. Here are some pictures from our fun trip:

Jake on the plane ride, he loved looking out at the sky & clouds!

Jake having so much fun with Grammy and Grandpa Walsh!

Jake also had a great time playing with his cousin Drew.

Great-Grandpa Harold, as cute as ever!

And then we headed to Sunriver...

So fun to all be together!

FIreworks of any kind weren't allowed in Sunriver (too dry), so we came home and celebrated our fun trip with sparklers!!

Happy Father's Day Jason!

Jason had a wonderful 2nd Father's Day. one that was very relaxing and fun hanging out just the three of us. We started the day by hanging out at the pool for awhile, Jason and Jake both love to be in the water! Then we headed home and relaxed, opened a few presents (Jake loves to help rip them open), and ended the day with a great dinner. Jake is a very lucky boy to have such a wonderful Dad who loves him so much!!

New York, New York!!

The National Stationery Show is held in New York every May, so we looked forward to attending our first one this year!! We went out a day early to do some sightseeing & shopping! Jason came for the first few days since he had never been to NY before, then Taryn's sister Katie joined us, as did our good friends Jace & Doug. We packed a lot in our first day, including breakfast in Greenwich Village, the ferry to Staten Island & the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Ground Zero, Central Park, Tavern on the Green, and the Rainbow Room on top of the Rockefeller Center. We topped the day off by having dinner at the very famous Nobu sushi restaurant, where we had our one and only "star" sighting - John Stamos was sitting at the table next to us! Then we had some very busy days at the tradeshow, but met some really great vendors and ordered a lot of very unique items!

Ground Zero - they have the whole area blocked from tourists, but a nice construction guy inside took a few pictures for me.

Meanwhile, back at home, my Mom and her husband Steve flew in from Portland to watch Jake while we were gone. Jake had a blast and was very well taken care of!! We really appreciate them coming out, and luckily my mom stayed a few extra days once I got home so I could spend time with her too!

Mother's Day

My second Mother's Day as a Mom was great, Jake & Jason made sure I got to do a lot of relaxing and BBQ'd a great steak dinner. I'm a very lucky girl to have such a great family!!

Green & Gold Gala 2008

The annual Colorado State University "Green and Gold Gala" was as fun as ever! We had a great group, we even were the last ones out on the dance floor. We stayed downtown at the Hyatt for the night, which was a treat for us!

Before the party started we got to try Taryn's parents new wine "Futo Wine" from their new winery in Napa, CA - SO GOOD!!
