The Johnsons Visit Colorado!!

My sister Jenny and her family were able to come visit Colorado, the same weekend as Jake's 3rd Birthday Party! We all had a great time and absolutely kept busy the whole time they were here. The cold weather was definitely a change from the 90 degrees they were used to, and Drew got to see his first snow.

Napa Valley

I was lucky enough to be able to get away for a few days on a girls' weekend with two great friends, and to relax in beautiful Napa Valley!! It was perfect timing (except for the part about being pregnant and not being able to have any wine), since it was harvest season and we had a personal lesson on all that goes in to harvest from Taryn's parents who have an amazing vineyard right in Oakville. We were in Napa 3 years ago, right as Tom and Kyle were beginning the vineyard, and what they have done in 3 years is incredible and the whole vineyard is so beautiful! It was such a wonderful weekend, though I am looking forward to going back when I can actually partake in the wine tasting!

Football Season Begins!!

Well, Jason's absolute favorite time of year is here - Football Season! We were lucky and we went to both of the first home games for the CSU Rams and the Denver Broncos, and Jason is such a proud Dad that Jake loves to watch football almost as much as him!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day weekend in Grand Junction, CO visiting Jason's sister and bother-in-law with his parents and other sister & her fiance. We had great weather, stayed at a very cute place that was actually right in the middle of a beautiful vineyard, and got to watch an amazing CSU Rams football win on TV! Thanks to Rebecca and Wes for hosting us for a great weekend!

Jake's First Day of Preschool!

Jake had a great first day of preschool!! He had met his 3 teachers and checked out the classroom last week, so this morning he ran right in and never really even looked back! There are 3 Jakes in his class, one also with a last name that starts with "L" and also has the exact same birthday (one year earlier)! He does have his one buddy Alec in his same class, who goes to the same babysitter - nice to have a familiar face in the room. We'll keep you posted, we are excited for a great first year of preschool!

This was "Meet the Teacher" Day

Toby Keith

Our good friend Taryn is a huge Toby Keith fan (as is Kelly), and so we all went to his concert here in Denver. We had amazing seats - 2nd row center!! Trace Adkins opened for Toby, and it was a great concert!!
