Lots & Lots of Football!!

This past weekend was a fun-filled football weekend, including Jake's first football game!! CSU was playing Cal, and we were hoping that Jake would bring the team good luck since Cal was ranked in the top 10... The luck was there, but not quite enough to bring the big upset - but CSU only lost by 6 points, which is pretty darn good!!

Jake did great (and I promise he did have pants on for the game) - he loved cheering and all of the people watching (just like his Mom)!! Jake's teething pretty bad right now, so anything to chew on really helps! :)

Then of course on Sunday was the first season game for the Broncos, Jake again cheered on the team from home with Dad. This one the Broncos pulled out a win at the last minute, Go Broncos!!

Jason and Jake even took at break at half-time to head out to the park, and go down the slide for the first time!! And then of course the swings are still a big favorite...

Looks like we know how our weekends are going to be spent for the next few months...

Labor Day Weekend!!

We had a very busy weekend last weekend, starting bright & early Saturday morning for the Rocky Mountain Showdown (Colorado State University vs. University of Colorado) at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium. Jake stayed at home with Aunt Rachelle and Grandma & Grandpa...but he made sure he got into the football spirit before Mom and Dad left!!

So then we got to the stadium to begin tailgating at 7am!! Our good friends Jace and Doug came back to CO from Arkansas just for the game, and so the "gang" was back together again...Taryn, Jace, Doug, Jason, and Kelly!!

And to make the game even more fun, Taryn got field passes for some of us...so Jason and Doug thought they were coaches and ran up & down the field with the team the whole game. Very fun for them!!

Kelly and Jace hung back a little bit, and even hung out with "Cam the Ram" under the stands. Unfortunately, CSU didn't quite make it and lost in overtime...very big bummer for us. But, every year this is a great game and close down to the wire. Next year, watch out for CSUI!!!

Meanwhile, back at home Jake is advancing by the day! Not only is he crawling at lightening speed, he has also found out that he loves to climb things (stairs, chairs, ottomans), but also went on the neighborhood swings for the first time - and loved it! Jason and I fear that we have a big dare-devil on our hands, as he never is scared of anything new! Jake also loved walkng in his Jeep through the neighborhood, and even just hanging out with daddy on "Bubba the Bear" is pretty fun!

Very hard to believe that Jake will be a year old in just over a month!!
