Full House

This past week we had Kelly's Mom, Sister, Brother-In-Law, and Nephew stayinging with us, all in town for Jake's baptism. Needless to say it was a full house, but we had a great time! Drew, who is almost 2 years old, was all about the Hummer who our neighbors were very nice to let Drew drive in all his spare time. Some other fun things we did while everyone was in town were visiting the Denver Aquarium, a Coors Brewery VIP tour, a few walks to the local Starbucks, and then of course a lot of "street time" so Drew could drive the car. Everyone left today, so the house is very quiet and we miss them already!

Jake's Baptism

This past Sunday Jacob Paul was baptised at Pax Christi Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch, CO. We had a very nice private ceremony with some special friends and family in attendance, including Jake's godparents Jenny and Mike Johnson (Kelly's sister and brother in law). Jake did great, though he chose that time to really "talk" a lot. After the baptism we had a fun party at our house, where we of course served Boston Market food and Coors beer. :) Thanks to all of those of you who helped us celebrate this special day, it meant a lot to us to have you there - and for those that couldn't make it, we missed you!

To the Moutains We Go!

Well, we had a great weekend last weekend in Keystone, CO with Taryn. We were lucky enough to stay at Taryn's beautiful new condo, where Jason was over-joyed with the big screen TV and massage chair! It was nice to get away for a few days, and hang out with Taryn - just like the old days when we were lucky enough to live with her. Then we had to get back home to prepare for Jake's baptism the next weekend and Kelly's family coming in town, stayed tuned for more details about that.

First Mother's Day!

I have to say that I had a great "First" Mother's Day, one that was very relaxing and spent with my two favorite guys (three I guess if you count Harley). After Jake's first haircut we came home and hung out on our patio, and then we had some great steaks and wine for dinner - can't beat that! Thanks to everyone who sent such nice cards, I really appreciate all of your nice thoughts. I'm already looking forward to next year. :)

First Haircut!

Jake had his first haircut on Mother's Day and was quite the trooper - maybe it had something to do with the "cool" Mercedes convertible he got to sit in?!?! There was another child there, probably around 2 years old, who was screaming and Jake just kept looking at him like "What's your problem? This is pretty fun!" Let's just hope that he continues to like having his haircut, since his hair is already growing again, only 10 days later!
